We have had a busy week filled with preparation and celebration.
Last Tuesday, we visited the Critter Barn in Zeeland to see the Live Nativity.
The girls loved the hands on opportunities to see the animals up close.
Alora was especially in love with holding the rabbits!
Christmas Eve, we spent the day at Opa and Oma's house. After a late lunch, it was time for gifts!
Tierney slowly figured out how much fun it was to tear at the noisy paper...
Alora was especially happy with her new talking baby doll...
And Ezri loved her new dance mat!
In addition to the wrapped gifts, Tierney got her first tooth on Christmas Eve! And then a few days later slipped on a new toy and bit her lip :( We had blood everywhere and the poor thing has a cut lip now.
Christmas Eve night, we went to church and then the girls were allowed to open one gift - new matching pajamas and a movie.
Christmas morning, there was a lot of chaos!
The girls awoke in their matching pajamas, ready for gifts and fun!
First the stockings...
And then the gifts! Ezri and Alora were very excited about the necklace they purchased with Daddy's help on their Daddy/Daughter Date earlier in the week.
Tierney enjoyed her new bouncing toy,
Ezri was thrilled to open the guitar that made it on all of her Christmas lists,
And Alora was excited about her new keyboard.
A box FULL of dress up clothes was the favorite, it seemed, and soon there were dresses, shoes, jewels and the whole mess all over the floor, and princess all around :)
We had a very quiet and relaxing Christmas day together, just Alex, myself and the girls. We watched movies together, played with new toys, took naps and just enjoyed our girls. Tierney figured out how to climb onto the TV stand for a little change in routine...
Friday, we spent the afternoon at Grandpa and Grandma's for another Christmas party. Cousins and chaos...
Tierney was pretty tired by the time it came to gifts...
Alora was pretty excited about ripping paper!
And the boxes were fun too :)
We got to FaceTime with Uncle Kevin, Aunt Katie, Drew and Luke,
And ended the night lighting off some lanterns outside.
We ended our week with a trip to the bowling alley with our Uncle Andy, Jay & Becci, and our friends the Sebrights. Ezri and Alora had such fun!
A few days of "quiet" and we're getting ready for a New Years Eve party. While it's been a busy season, it has been fun and filled with family and friends.
