We sure have been loving this warm, spring weather! Two weeks ago, we spent our Sunday afternoon hiking through the forest near Hopkins for a couple of hours and had a great time exploring.
Around home, the girls have been loving having a place to hang our hammock, now that we own a couple more trees thanks to the land purchase a couple of months back.
Elam is all about the dirt!!!
The Corvette came out last week and all four kids had a blast playing with it for hours!
Early last week, we bought and set up a temporary shelter/shed to house our current shed's stuff so we can tear it down in preparation for the new barn construction. We spent one evening opening up the box and laying out all the pieces to begin assembly. Each of the kids helped in their own ways...
The following day, we finished the assembly of the shelter while the kids enjoyed the dirt some more.
The kids have had no shortage of fun with the trampoline in the last week, especially now that baby brother has figured out how to climb up on to it on his own and absolutely loves being up there.
The emptying of the shed into the temporary shelter later in the week meant the quads came out. Daddy was excited to get them going so the kids could go on rides, and Mommy was equally excited to get back on and ride a little too.
Each of the kids got to go for a short ride around the yard and loved it.
Little brother had some fun working on his eating with a spoon skills, this time it was yogurt and he loved it!
This past Sunday we enjoyed another afternoon of fun outside, this time playing with the air cannon. The kids spent quite a long time chasing balls that were launched their direction by the big boys.
Elam couldn't join in on that fun, but he made some of his own which entailed making big people chase him around the yard and keep him from going onto the street.
After the air cannon fun wore off, Daddy got out the potato cannon (more things that were found in the shed clean out process). A little bit of work was done to get it back in working order and then the masses were entertained (neighbors too!).
We watched potatoes being launched into the park for quite some time. While we waited and watched, Tierney and Elam had their own fun with bubbles.
Man, what a busy, but fun week! I'm tired...
