We started the Easter celebration a week early with an indoor egg hunt for the Hopkins community. The kids had a great time and came home with all kinds of candy and treasures.
During the week, they helped fill hundreds of eggs in anticipation of an egg hunt at our house on Easter with friends. They even got a little help from our neighbors Alistair and Aella.
They also worked hard on decorating and coloring eggs as well as baking and decorating cookies.
Satuday we were visited by Aunt Becky, Christine & Francesca, who were in town for Easter, along with Opa & Oma. The kid set up an egg hunt to do with Francesca, we enjoyed lunch together and an afternoon of playing outside in the beautiful spring weather.
Sunday morning was rushed with Ezri and I attending an early church service as we had to teach preschool during our regular service time, but the kids got through their Easter baskets before we left.
After church, we headed back home for some pictures in our fancy new Easter clothes!
Lunch was shared with our friends Kathy and Amanda with her three boys Judah, Lucas and Asher as well as pop-in visits by Travs and Emmett.
After lunch, Alex hid eggs while the kids played, and then we set them loose on the yard to find over 450 eggs!
While they hunted, we shared our own laughs!
It didn't take the kids more than 15 minutes and they were back digging into their eggs for the candy.
It was the perfect day, weather wise, with people we love to share the day with and many reminders of our risen saviour!
