Thank Heaven for Little Girls

The girls have been busy exploring this week.  Ezri has become quite the little bug inspector, with magnifying glass in hand.  This past week, we were looking at giant moths, ants and other bugs we found around the yard.  She also spent plenty of time looking for "Tim" the lightning bug, finding him on the cars, in the garage, and about the yard :)

With the cooler weather, we've been outside a lot, enjoying the time to play mosquito free.  Tobi is seldom far from us.

This past Tuesday, Ezri had her last dance class.  It was a "watch day" so we got to sit in her classroom and watch, and even Daddy was able to be there.

 She really enjoyed herself, was quite proud of her pretty dress, and very excited we were there to watch her :)

 

 Wednesday, we were able to spend much of the day at East Lake, where Aunt Nancy was camping.  It was quite windy and cool, so we played on the playground for a while before lunch.  Then, we got to go for a ride on the pontoon boat while we had lunch together.  The girls had so much fun on that boat!

After lunch, the wind died down some and we were able to swim.  The water was warm, but that breeze was still pretty cool.  Regardless, the girls were thrilled to be in the water.  Ezri had her little friend Lilly to play with and Alora got to play with my cousin's little girl Sofia, so both girls were quite content.

Thursday morning found us pretty sleepy from some busy days and late nights.  It was a quiet morning, and at one point I could not find Alora.  She was quietly playing in Ezri's room with her baby :)  She has really taken interest in her babies the past week, often laying out a bed for them, laying down with them, feeding and talking to them... so sweet!

Come nap time, she was so exhausted, she fell asleep reading her little book!

And then she was right back to playing, baby in tow...

Thursday evening, the girls and I went with Grandma to pick blueberries.  Ezri was quite the little helper and Alora did her own version of helping by picking and eating the berries.  They both were so good the whole time we were picking.

After picking, we stopped by Great Grandma's to drop of some berries real quick.  That "real quick" turned into 10:00 as we stayed and Daddy came to help Uncle Fred and Liz get hay bales from the back field onto a wagon by hand.  Another late night and some very tired girls later, a lot of sleeping in happened on Friday morning.

 

We are looking ahead to a weekend where our baby turns 18 months old already!  So hard to believe how quickly these little girls are growing.
