Another month has left us in its dust...
This week, we took a break from regular life. Ezri finished First Grade last week, but this week we went back and looked over all she has accomplished. We compared her reading ability from the beginning of the year until now and talked about her different science and history projects, math and language arts. Her favorite was the human body study we did at the beginning of the year!
Elam learned to roll over this week too! Monday morning, he wowed us by suddenly doing what he has been threatening to do for weeks now, and ever since has been rolling over like a pro!
The week was spent playing outside, catching up on laundry and house work and just laying low. Saturday morning, we loaded up and headed back to Edwardsburg to finish the deck project at Pastor Scott and Carrie's. Though they were not home, we had a day full of completing projects and fun. The kids even got to play in the sprinkler in their undies, which they thought was an absolute blast.
By the time we left, we had finished installing the deck railing, hung 5 new exterior lights, installed three new door handles and deadbolt locks, hung a new screen door, removed an old stump, cleaned the garage and house up and power washed the cement and siding under the deck. It was a very accomplished day!
Sunday found us busy as it was the day of my cousin Liz's bridal shower, which I was hosting. The girls and Daddy were a big help with setting up and preparing and also cleaning up after. It was a long and busy afternoon, but a fun time and an honor to be a part of preparing Liz for her big day. And now, we are just praying for nothing to do and nowhere to go for a while, because we are TIRED!!!
