It's Wedding Week!

Last week was a very busy one for us.  We started out with a visit from Uncle Michael, Opa & Oma.  Wednesday, it was Reader Feeder bus time, and the girls were very excited to go get new books.  This time, Lumpy the elephant came along with us got so many compliments about how adorable she was!

Wednesday evening, we made a trip to Tina's farm to get hay for Barb.  While there, we spent some time exploring and having some fun.  There were cows to feed...

and pigs too!

There was no shortage of attention or excitement!

Tina even got the tractor out and let each of the kids drive!

Daddy got interested in a derby car project going on, so while he played, the kids found a lot of fun in the dirt.  

 And then they rolled down the hills to wipe some dirt back off.

 We finally had to drag them home around 9, though they were sad to have to go.

 Thursday morning greeted us with the exciting discovery of an injured butterfly in the yard.

 The kids were all invested in checking it out, each wanting to hold it (except Tierney).

We also spent a little time at Aunt Nancy's pool swimming and playing.

This was the week of my cousin Liz's wedding, for which I was Matron of Honor.  Thursday evening began the wedding activities for this Mommy, starting with a nail appointment.  Friday morning we worked on some things at home before heading off to the reception hall to help with decorating.  While there, the girls had fun playing with Paisley, who is a few months older than Elam.  Daddy joined us later in the afternoon.

 With hall decoration complete, we ran home for a quick snack before heading to the farm for rehearsal and dinner.

Saturday morning came all too quick and found Elam and I off to the farm again for hair and makeup appointments and the whole getting ready process while the girls spent the day with Daddy.  Elam was a trooper through all of the waiting and down time.

 

By 2, the bridal party was all dressed, including the bride, with hair and makeup done, and then it was picture time!

Daddy and the girls showed up a while before the wedding began and we snuck in a few pictures of our own.

And then it was wedding time!  It turned out beautifully, with perfect weather and a great setting.

 Ceremony done, more pictures out of the way, we finally went to the reception hall!

 After dinner (late), the fun began with dancing.

After such a long set of days, the kids were tired!!!  They somehow survived until 11pm, though, as we helped clean up after the party.  They were such troopers!

It was a bit of a whirlwind of a week, but boy was it fun and such an honor to be a part of.
