20 Months and 28 Weeks

Things have definitely not slowed down for us in the past week.  In fact, it seems that the past three weeks have blown by.  We feverishly worked this past Friday and Saturday to finish the project at (Great) Grandma's house in time for her to get home Sunday.  Some touch up to paint here and there, outlets to install, curtains and window treatments to complete and hang, furniture to replace...   We were busy!

Saturday evening, we were able to relax a little and spend some time with Mike, Kerri, Aubrey and Wesley.  The girls had a great time playing in the leaves and on the swing set :)  Ezri, who is very familiar with Drew's name, kept calling Aubrey Drew.  It took her some time to work out how to say Aubrey ("Ah-bee") and to understand she was not Drew.  We've got it down now, but it was pretty cute to hear her talk about Aubrey while she was calling her Drew :) Sunday evening was a bit rough for us.  After putting Ezri to bed and then getting there ourselves, we were wakened at midnight to a sick baby and spent the next hour and a half cleaning bedding, changing sheets and clothing, calming and upset baby...  No idea what caused her to be sick as it was a one time thing, but regardless, it was a restless night following and we all woke tired on Monday. Monday we headed back to the doctor for a 28 week check-up.  All is well with Fig, as expected :)  Mommy, however, has developed a case of Carpal Tunnel and Sciatica related to this pregnancy.  This baby is turning out to be a neurological disaster for me! :) Since then, Alex has been running non-stop working on a big project for work.  The majority of the week has found him away from the house all day and late at night, which Ezri has definitely picked up on.  I don't think she's asked for Daddy more than she has this week.  Poor baby - and poor Daddy!  It appears things will continue to remain crazy for Alex for at least another week or so as this project comes to a head.  We're all praying that things go well and that we can maintain some semblance of normalcy amid all the chaos. Bath time remains a favorite for Ezri and this week she decided her "baby" and a ball needed to join her on one of her extended bathing experiences.  I'm not sure in the end how much water stayed in as the splashing is more and more fun each time, but hey... it was fun!

Wednesday Ezri hit the 20 Month mark!!!

Thursday we were given a wonderful opportunity to have a 3D ultrasound performed for free.  Allegan General Hospital just got a new machine and via a call from my Aunt Nancy, I was connected with a chance to participate while the techs trained on the new machine.  Why not!  It was such an amazing experience!!!  We've had 2D ultrasounds for Ezri (at 42 weeks) and Fig (at 10 weeks), but this was so different.  To see that baby's face, fingers, toes, etc. in 3D was breathtaking!  Such a miracle and just amazing to watch - what an opportunity.  We still do not know - nor do we wish to know - whether this baby is a boy or a girl.  At 28 weeks, we've got some waiting to do, but we're even more eager to meet this little one now that we've had a glimpse at what he or she might look like.  One thing we know for sure, it's going to have long fingers and toes like Ezri and a cute little nose!  Here are a few of the pictures we were able to take with us...
