Baptism

The highlight of our week was Alora's Baptism on Sunday.  It was a pretty special morning around our house and even Ezri got excited, wearing her pretty dress :)

 Alora's gown turned out perfect (gotta be a little proud of myself!) and after all the hours of crocheting the night away, it fit her great and she looked so sweet :)

We were joined by our family and friends at church as Alora was baptized and we were so glad to have the love and support.

 After the service, we had a small party with family and close friends at the park across from our house to celebrate little Alora.  The perfect opportunity for a family photo... but getting everyone to look and smile... yeah right!

 We were so blessed to have a friend from church make a cake for us and it turned out so sweet - and delicious as well!

 It was wonderful to just enjoy the company of our friends and family and relax on the beautiful day God provided for the occasion.

After some naps all around, Ezri got in some special play time with Andy :)

 The rest of our week was quiet in comparison, but that was ok.  Ezri, Alora and I spent lots of time playing outside.  After scrambling to get the yard ready for Alora's party, we were able to get in some planting and just enjoy the outdoors.  One of the projects we completed before the party was the re-use of an old door that used to be Ezri's closet door.  So close to becoming fuel for a fire, I was inspired and it got a new purpose...

 Ezri continues to love on her little sister, and this week she has needed it.  We had to get Alora's 4 month immunizations mid-week and the remainder of the week has left her fussy, needing to be held or worn, sleepy yet restless, feverish and just plain ick.  Poor baby!  Ezri has been all too willing to help hold her - love those girls!

 We got creative this week and, after being inspired by a blog, I started a water station for Ezri to play with outside.  Ideally, this will be built up into a table, but for the time, she is all about playing in the water any which way!  Guess it's time to get out the pool :)

 Alora has been happy (when she can be comfortable) to sleep outside amid all the commotion.

I am excited to have had raised garden beds built for me by Alex, so now I am anxious to get the dirt in them and get planting!  My hopeful project for the weekend...
