Beauty Outside Our Window

Last week, we made our usual visit to Great Grandma's.  It was a very windy day, and she was without power for the morning.  So, we made the most of it, and the girls enjoyed putting together puzzles with her.

That afternoon, we had a rain storm blow through.  Afterward, we were greeted with a most beautiful sight - a rainbow!  It was funny, in a way, because just that same day, as we were leaving Great Grandma's, Alora had asked me why we never see any rainbows.  Must be Jesus heard her little question!  So, the girls and I ran outside and enjoyed the view for 10 or so minutes, talking about why we have rainbows and just marveling at the beauty.

As it was a full arc, and a very second rainbow accompanying it, we had a great view.  We could even see where it touched the ground, and it was so bright!

 

 

Later in the week, we were greeted with snow as the weekend arrived.  The girls woke up Saturday morning beside themselves with excitement at the change outside.  Of course, they immediately wanted to go out and play in it.  I did make them wait to get dressed and have some breakfast, but then we headed outside to play for quite a while.

 Tierney was very intrigued by the snow, and mostly wanted to just sit and eat it!

 Three snowmen sisters later, the girls were quite proud of their work!

 The weekend found Tobi not feeling his best, so we took him into the vet for a check-up.  Once back home, with some new food and a plan, the girls were focused on loving him up a little more than usual.  Tierney must have decided combing his hair would help :)

While I was not so thrilled about the snow, or a sick kitty, the girls' excitement was a bit infectious and I found the weekend to be pretty rewarding and fun.
