A long weekend was spent at Sandy Pines with plenty to keep us all busy.
Golf cart rides were fun for kids...
Kids entertained themselves with their imaginations...
And played hard.
We had a visitor, a stick bug, which was fun to watch and engaged Tierney for quite some time.
There was a treasure hunt, where the kids dug in the sand looking for coins to get prizes and freeze pops.
Tierney refused to participate until Mommy was allowed to go into the sand and dig with her.
We staged our own treasure hunt with the metal detector, burying coins and allowing the children to then hunt for and find the coins. They had a lot of fun with this!
There was a day at the water park, where Ezri was very excited to finally be able to go in the pool without swimming aids and also go down the water slide all by herself. The beach also offered plenty of fun with swimming and sand castle building.
Sunday night, we visited Tina's farm, so Ezri could visit Barb and spend time with him. The kids also got to help walk the pigs, which was a highlight of the night. Ezri and Alora both did really well and enjoyed it! Perhaps a future 4-H project???
Now back to real life, school and work, and preparing for the fair.
