19 Months and 24 Weeks

Another week that flew by and not much to show for it - at least in pictures. 

This past weekend I was able to see an old friend who had come back into town for a week from Hawaii.  It was nice to see Chris and meet his wife :)  Alex had his own excitement on Saturday as he participated in a golf outing with a local business he partners with.  Not much into golf, he went anyway due to a personal invite from the owner and did have a good time - even in the rain!

With the weather cooling significantly this week and rain nearly each day, we spent a lot of time inside, much to the dismay of Ezri.  She would much rather be outside playing - as would I, but it just didn't work out.  It is pretty difficult to explain to a one year old why we can't play outside...

Monday we had another visit with the doctor to check on Fig.  All was well :)  Monday also marked 19 months for Ezri.  I got four pictures before she was done - fortunately they were all good this time :)  She was excited to play with the horsey and even wear the hat!

Tuesday night Ezri got to hang out with Grandpa and Grandma for a few hours while Alex and I went to the Red vs. White Detroit Redwings hockey game at Van Andel Arena with a business he works closely with.  They had rented out one of the nests and there was food, etc. and lots of room to move around while watching the game.  While neither of us are into hockey, we did enjoy ourselves :)

Wednesday and Thursday Ezri and I stayed busy around the house tackling the bedroom for two days.  I cleaned out my closet and got rid of a bunch of clothes, then went to work cleaning walls, floors, etc.  It felt great to go to bed knowing how much cleaner it was in there!  Thursday night we celebrated with Grandpa as it was his 60th birthday!  We went to the Trestle Stop in Hamilton with Great Grandma, Grandpa and Grandma, Mike, Kerri, Aubrey and Wesley.  While there, we even Skyped with Kevin, Katie and Drew, although it was quite loud in the restaurant and difficult to hear them.  Still, we got to see them for a brief time and were all "together" for a moment to celebrate with dad.

With the weather cooling and fall moving in, even Tucker and Tobi are seeking out what warmth is left.  I found a rare moment when they were both cuddled up in the sun together!  Never happens... :)

We are hoping for some dry weather this weekend so we can get to Crane's Orchard and pick some apples - yum!  Also looking forward to some quiet time resting at home and finishing up some projects around the house.  Ezri is looking forward to "He-de" (Andy) :)  All week she has been talking about him, asking where he is and commenting on his being "bye bye".  :)
